The story gets even better when you consider the guy who runs this amazing eatery, Aleem Chaudhry, arrived in the Lone Star State by way of New York City and not Pennsylvania. In fact, not one Pennsylvania eatery made the list of the Top 100 US Restaurants 2024.

You just have to know that a New York Style Deli that makes better Philly Cheesesteaks than anywhere in Pennsylvania has got to have the fanatics of the Keystone State going wild.

Where did the best restaurant in Texas rank in America according to Yelp?

Gino's is no stranger to ranking high on food lists for both the state of Texas and side by side with the best restaurants in America. Reaching the top ten this year was a sizeable jump from the 20th spot they were just last year according to this article with the San Antonio Express-News.

This is not the first time I have heard of great cheesesteaks outside of Pennsylvania. When I lived in Los Angeles for a couple years, there was the Philly Steak Depot right by Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Santa Monic Blvd. that also served incredible Philly Cheesesteaks.
