Eric Church’s Bar Is Having Fun With Morgan Wallen Chair Incident
Chief's on Broadway has updated their marquee to wink at Morgan Wallen's arrest. The bar — named after singer Eric Church — shared photos of the new message on social media.
- Wallen is accused of throwing a chair from the sixth floor of Chief's on Sunday night (April 7).
- Police were standing just feet from where the chair landed. They charged Wallen with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct.
- He has not yet commented on the incident.

The bar was celebrating opening weekend at the time. It's not clear if Church was at the establishment, but Wallen's lawyers say he was arrested just before 11PM CT on Sunday and that he's cooperating with authorities.
Video shows him staying calm while being arrested, and his mug shot finds him smiling.
The initial marquee message at Chief's on Broadway promoted Rodney Scott's Whole Hog Rooftop BBQ.
An updated version nods to what happened last weekend.
"Our pigs fly. Our chairs don't," the sign reads in a photo shared below.
Chief's — and by extension, Church — is not the first to have fun with Wallen's detention.
Singer and songwriter Ernest — who's very good friends with Wallen – took to his Instagram page almost immediately to share a video of him listening to "If I Would" by Lainey Wilson as he drives. The song goes:
"I would if I could / But I can't, so I won't / But I want to."
Ernest's on-screen message says, "When Morgan asks me if I wanna go to Broadway." His followers reacted very positively to the joke.
Followers of Chief's on Broadway appreciated the venue's marketing creativity.
