Sometimes changes are a little annoying. As you know, the local Pak-A-Sak stores were sold to Casey's. We shared this information with you back in August.

I was on a late-night run with my hubby. He had to run out to his office on Friday night, and I decided I would ride with him. He works off FM 2219. On the way out there, we stopped at the Pak-A-Sak on the corner of VFW and FM 2219. I asked if he would grab me a tea and a Cake Company fried pie. He came back with my tea and some slop in a box. "This isn't the Cake Company Fried Pie I wanted; this is a packaged box of ick."

He told me the cashier said that since they are transitioning to Casey's, they are no longer carrying the pies from The Cake Company.

Nooooooooooo!

With the transition to Casey's, our fried pies will unfortunately no longer be carried in those locations. While we're sad to see this chapter come to an end, we're so grateful for the memories, relationships, and opportunities that came with it. - The Cake Company

They only started selling the pies at Pak-A-Sak in April 2026.

The changes are already happening, and they break my heart. I don't eat the fried pies from The Cake Company often, but it's a nice treat now and then. In that moment, my late-night snack was ruined.

Where Can You Buy The Cake Company Fried Pies Now?

On a positive note, The Cake Company is not without a convenience store home. They have transitioned to Toot'n Totum. The store you either love or hate is now carrying this local treat. Here's a list of the Toot'n Totum stores carrying the pies:

  • 100 Tascosa Rd.
  • 5424 River Rd.
  • 950 Buchanan
  • 2024 S. Washington
  • 2700 I-40 W.

And of course, you can purchase the fried pies at The Cake Company in Canyon, 1502 5th Ave.

Then, later in my frustration, I was scrolling social media while he took care of what he needed to at work, and I found out that Grandma's Burritos are no longer available at Pak-A-Sak either.

With Pak-A-Sak being bought out by Casey’s, Grandma’s Burritos will no longer be available at Pak-A-Sak after Friday, October 30th. We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your continued support, kindness, and love for Grandma’s Burritos.  It means more to us than you know! - Grandma's Burritos

Where Can You Still Find Grandma's Burritos?

You can still stop by either of Grandma's Burritos locations and grab a breakfast burrito: 7012 S. Western St. or 8700 Clinton Glenn Rd. (off VFW).

Will Casey's Carry Local Products?

We did reach out to Casey's to see if they would be open to allowing local businesses to carry products in their stores, but at the time of publishing, we had yet to receive a response. We’ll update if they do.

Don't get me wrong, I know change happens, and that Casey's has its own kitchen and food choices. The breakfast pizzas are quite good, but I hate to see every little piece of local be taken away from the stores we have all grown up on.

It's like every ounce of local is slowly leaving Amarillo.
