A Lubbock man was arrested on multiple charges involving years of abusing a child. The Lubbock Police Department report that they were notified of an incident that occurred back on Thursday, September 14.

That incident involved 24-year-old Kristopher Lamar and allegations of sexual abuse that took place over the course of seven years. KAMC news reports that Lamar had been sexually abusing a girl from the time she was 6-years-old until she was 13-years-old. That victim is said to have told investigators with the Lubbock Police Department that Lamar had originally sexually abused her at his home during a get together with multiple people.

It was after that abuse occurred that Lamar told the victim that if she were to mention what had happened that he would put the blame on her and that she was the one who wanted to engage in those acts. After that first incident Lamar is said to have sexually abuse the girl on multiple occasions as he pressured the victim to perform sexual acts on him for years. It wasn't until the victim confided in a friend telling her what had been happening for years which led to the victims mother being notified of the abuse.

Lamar was arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention on four combined charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. As per the publishing of this article, Lamar remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a bond totaling $250,000.
