This Could Be The City of Lubbock’s New Logo
The City of Lubbock could have a brand new logo if city officials get their way and the design is approved by the Lubbock City Council. Lacey Nobles, Communications and Marketing Manager for the City of Lubbock presented City Council members a presentation of the new logo and design and what we could see on city vehicles, water towers, and more in the future.
The current City of Lubbock logo was adopted in 2008 and was actually adapted from the logo used by the Shire of Toodyay in Western Australia.
The new logo has been described as bold and strong, and something that really is unique to Lubbock. The new logo was also designed "in house" so Lubbock would really own its own logo. Lubbock Mayor Tray Payne seems to be a fan of the new logo as he took to social media to preview the new look from a mockup that was presented to the City Council.
If approved at the September 12 Lubbock City Council meeting, the logo below would become Lubbock's new logo and would be rolled out in phases. What do you think?
