The Children’s Home of Lubbock to Celebrate 34th Fall Festival
September is almost here which means leaves will start to fall off the trees as Autumn is just around the corner. With Autumn come all the fun things to do such as picking pumpkins, hay rides, and the best of all Fall festivals.
This year the Children's Home of Lubbock will be hosting their 34th Annual Fall Festival as a way for the community to explore and get to know the Children's Home campus. Along with getting to know the campus this is also a way for anyone interested in foster care or adoption to get more information about what the process entails.
There will be lots of family friendly activities (and I mean lots) for everyone to enjoy. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, raffle, hayrides, and even a parade to kickoff off the event. The parade will feature different groups from the community, including a band, some familiar superhero's, some cool cars, plus more; anyone interested in participating in the parade can contact Luke Mason at lrmason@childshome.org. The parade will start at 10:15 a.m. on the day of the Fall Festival, September 23, and will be at the Children's Home of Lubbock, located at 4404 Idalou Road, just East of Lubbock.
Wristbands will be required to participate in all of the fun activities and can be purchased for just $5 each in their gym on the day of the event. The biggest events this year will be the delicious bake sale of donated goods and a silent auction with some very great bidding items, if you are unable to make it the day of there is a way to bid online. More information about the Annual Fall Festival can be found online or on their social media page, where you can also RSVP to the event.
