Texas Tech Athletics just announced that the Friday game against Houston will see the Red Raiders in a brand-new uniform. This sleek, all-black design is sure to capture the eyes of fans and viewers alike.

Texas Tech New Uniform Debut

The new design is a part of Texas Tech's "Let's Ride" uniforms that were made in collaboration with Adidas, State Farm, and State Farm's longtime ambassador, Patrick Mahomes.

Check out the design from the Texas Tech Football Facebook page:

The all-black design with red accents will feature the State Farm logo, an official game sponsor, as well as Mahomes' signature Gladiator brand.

The decision to incorporate Mahomes into new jersey designs dates back to 2024 when Texas Tech introduced the Mahomes Strategy collection as a way to celebrate the star quarterback's legacy.

Only At Friday's Game

The debut of the "Let's Ride" uniform will take place on Friday's sold-out game against Houston at Galaxy Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes himself shared his thoughts on the brand-new design:

There's a lot of history and meaning behind the 'Let's Ride' uniform design, and I'm excited to help bring these partners together to share it with Red Raider fans and put it on the field this week.

Kickoff for Friday's match with the all-black Red Raiders is set for 7 p.m. Live coverage will be available on FOX and the Texas Tech Sports Network. Check out the Texas Tech Athletics webpage to keep up with all games this season.
