Lubbock Man Arrested for Explicit Content of Minors
A Lubbock man was arrested after lying about his age to obtain some explicit material from minors. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted Lubbock authorities after being notified that 12 files of suspected child pornography had been uploaded to the app Snapchat in December of 2021. The suspect, 35-year-old Christopher Perez, reportedly obtained videos showing adults sexually abusing prepubescent children.
KAMC news reports that a friend of Perez spoke with police stating that the suspect told her he was doing things would get him arrested and sent to prison. That former friend then told police that Perez mentioned he had content on his phone that would incriminate him in what he was doing to make more money. On October 31 Perez was arrested in the 2500 block of Bates Street and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
During this arrest police did search that cellphone where they discovered more files obtaining content showing child sexual abuse. This is not the first time that Perez was arrested for explicit content of minors. That first time Perez was caught he was also impersonating a younger man to obtain nude photos of young girls which he would later sell for money.
As per the publishing of this article, Perez remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center in federal custody under a Federal Warrant Detainer and United States Marshall Remand for the Distribution of Child Pornography.
