The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Puts Out a Weekly Fishing Report

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department makes it easy to find a great place to fish with their Weekly Fishing Reports. The Weekly Fishing Reports come from people on the ground across Texas and it is divided into regions.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife website updates these reports each week. Fishing reports are normally updated by Thursday morning and the information is collected by a third party who spoke with fishing guides, marinas, and bait shops.

Some bass are guarding Fry and most are post spawn and a few are into an early summer pattern. Crappie are slow to 12 inches on jigs in 2-10 feet. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds on crankbaits out of the lights at night. Catfish are slow on prepared bait, nightcrawlers and chicken livers.
Joe Pool

Be cautious of the weather as storms have been rolling in Report by Gilbert Miller, GTB Outdoors.
Nasworthy
FAIR. Water slightly stained; 79 degrees. 0.01 feet below pool. The bass bite has been good flipping soft plastics around reed bases in 1-3 feet of water. The spawn is ending and bass are staying in the shallows as the water temperature rises to the 80s. The key is to cover water until you find a good stretch that holds multiple bass. Focus on holes in the reed banks where bass will set up on their beds. Watch for balls of bass fry because a fry guarder will be close by. Crappie were fair around main lake boat docks on chartreuse jigs and catfish were fair on cut bait and stink bait around river channel bends. Report provided by the Angelo State Fishing Team.

And you can view many, many more lakes from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and their fishing report.

So get out this weekend and enjoy the great outdoors and one of our great Texas lakes.
