Enjoy a Small Pet-cation Event This Weekend in Lubbock

It's not officially Summer yet but for many people it is Summer vacation time but what about your furry friends at home? Pet Supplies Plus is hosting their summer pet-cation event Saturday, June 17, which will be like a small fun filled vacation with some perks for you and those fur babies.

This event will have the opportunity for many pet owners to get their pets microchipped by the Lubbock Animal Shelter for free. Along with the free microchipping there will be dog and cat adoptions during the event so those that are looking for a new addition to their life, or just looking, are encouraged to attend. Those pets that are adopted during the pet-cation event will be gifted an adoption kit from Kong, dog and cat toy maker since 1976, which will include some great goodies.

You can't have a pet event of any kind without your pet staring at you while you take a bite of human food. So of course there will be food trucks there, the first food truck will be Wicked Kitchen serving up some spell binding paninis and quesadillas from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Don't worry if you miss the first food truck because from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. is when The Spud Truck and Frios will have some tasty potato dishes and cold popsicles.

There will also be a photo booth for owners, and pets, to take some memorable photos in as well as some giveaways, which could include dog toys, water bottles and even dog wash cards. All pets that attend this event must be on a leash or a carrier during the entirety of this event.
