Comedian Felipe Esparza Is Coming To Lubbock
Get ready for another night filled with laughter as comedian Felipe Esparza is brining his "Big Foo Tour" to Lubbock's Buddy Holly Hall on April 29, 2023. Esparza has been on numerous television shows, won Last Comic Standing in 2010, and has specials on Netflix in both English and Spanish.
Now he will bring his comedy to Lubbock on Saturday, April 29th at 8 p.m. at the Buddy Holly Hall which is a fantastic venue for comedy, music, and any other performance one can think of. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out.
According to a press release, Esparza uses much of his experiences growing up to make people laugh.
Esparza said that he got his start in comedy because someone asked him to list 5 goals in life. During a stint in rehab before he was 21, Felipe was asked what his dreams and goals were. As a young Mexican immigrant growing up in the projects in Boyle Heights (East L.A.) and then as a teenage father with a drug and alcohol problem, it was a difficult task because he said he had never thought that far ahead. Up until that question, Felipe was under the impression that life was over at 18. Among the items on his list of goals, “to be happy,” and “to be a stand‐up comedian,” because of how he connected with an old Bill Cosby album when he was younger.
Esparza said that if you had told him back then that all this life experience would one day make people laugh, he wouldn't have believed it.
Tickets go on sale Friday, February 3rd and you can get more information at the Buddy Holly Hall website.
