This Subscriptions Box is a New Way to Enjoy Lubbock Produce
Two things I always strive to do are to live the best life I can and support local businesses along the way.
This means taking care of myself, spending time with loved ones, minimizing stress, shopping at small businesses, and lifting up local organizations. The combination of these efforts has helped to overall improve my quality of life, and simply make me happy.
While it can be hard to always get out there to support local businesses, especially when it comes to shopping for locally grown produce, there are options out there that make things easier. This includes shopping at farmers markets, visiting local farms, and more.
If life is chaotic and you find yourself too busy on the weekends to make it to local markets, there is a new service that might be right up your alley.
LBKGrown is partnering with Growing Together Texas and a variety of local growers to bring you a produce subscription box.
These boxes will be available to pick up bi-weekly on Wednesdays at a variety of Lubbock businesses, or you can get the box delivered to your home for an extra $10 fee. You can pay $25 per box by order, or you can pay upfront for a certain number of boxes in advance.
Each box will feature seasonal, locally grown produce with a mix of fruits, veggies, and any other produce.
The pickup locations each have their own timeframes to get your box. The locations include E3 Farms, Faith 2 Farm Market Garden, Good Line Brewery, and Juicy Lucy/Idalou Harvest. More information about how to pick up from each of these locations is available on the LBKGrown website.
The first box will be available on October 25, 2023, and they are currently accepting subscription sign ups.
