2 brothers and a wife from Tyler, Texas are accused of an 11-hour killing spree across Nevada and Arizona in November 2020. The trio allegedly left one dead and several wounded in what prosecutors are calling an attempt to "provoke public fear."

On November 26, 2020, what authorities describe as a "heinous and random" series of terrorist acts began to unfold. 32-year-old Christopher McDonnell, 34-year-old,Shawn McDonnell, and 29-year-old Kayleigh Lewis began their rampage near Las Vegas.

Over the next 11 hours, the trio took off on a series of drive-by shootings, leaving a trail of wounded victims, including Kevin Mendiola Jr. who was tragically killed at a convenience store.

The violent killing spree took place between Nevada and Arizona. The trio didn't seem to have any rhyme or reason in choosing their targets.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson believe everything done was an attempt "Cause widespread fear in the public."

ENDING THE REIGN OF TERROR

The trio's reign of terror finally came to an end when Arizona Department of Public Safety officers engaged in a high-speed chase with the suspects' Texas-plated vehicle.

The pursuit ended in a crash, and troopers quickly used their assault-style rifles to take down Shawn McDonnell, finally bringing the 11-hour nightmare to a close.

Christopher McDonnell's guilty plea to 23 felonies including:

  • Murder
  • Attempted murder
  • Conspiracy
  • Numerous weapons charges

***Terrorism charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.

  • Shawn McDonnell is is facing 54 charges including the death penalty.
  • Kayleigh Lewis is facing 53 felony counts.
