Texas Longhorns Helmet Named Best in College Football

The judges have spoken, and I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with them. However, I have to admit that I’m a bit biased. Okay, so maybe I’m actually very biased. 

While I’m not a UT alum, I’ve been a fan of the Longhorns for as long as I can remember. One of my older sisters lived in Austin when I was a little boy, around seven years old or so. I’ll never forget passing by the campus for the first time when I went to visit her, and I fell in love at first sight. I remember thinking that was where I wanted to go to school, but as I mentioned, that never happened. 

But I did work at Bevo’s Drive-In in Vernon when I was in high school, so there’s that. There aren’t many of us who worked there over the years who aren’t fans of the Horns. Being surrounded by orange and white for about 20 hours a week will do that for you. I guess you could say the fandom becomes ingrained in you at Bevo’s.

Minimalism Over Flash — Every Time

There’s also the fact that I’m kind of an artsy person who happens to be a big fan of minimalism and classic styles. I’m no fan of those crazy, busy, flamboyant modern uniforms that so many universities have embraced. No, give me classic uniforms like Texas, Alabama, and Penn State all day, every day. There’s no need to change a thing.
