Pinata Protest Returns To Lubbock For A Rowdy Night Of Fun
I cannot overstate how much pure fun Pinata Protest is to watch. The "Tex-Mex" band hailing from San Antonio has a sound uniquely their own- a blend of punk rock and traditional conjunto and norteño music.
And Álvaro Del Norte absolutely wails on the accordion while singing, dancing, and getting some really impressive height on his jumps.
Pinata Protest has performed alongside a wide variety of very popular bands and musical acts, including The Toadies, The Reverend Horton Heat, Voodoo Glow Skills, Brujeria (hey, I was at one of those shows), and even the legendary Ramon Ayala.
I've watched Pinata Protest perform on three occasions and thoroughly enjoyed myself each time. I'm thrilled they are returning to town Friday, April 18th, to Jake's Backroom (50th & Slide).
If you are looking for a Friday night out that will be a guaranteed blast, that's your answer. You find yourself dancing and/or moshing and participating with their interactive and fun performance.
