East Texas Man Arrested After Explicit Images of Children Shared Online
(KNUE-FM) An East Texas man was recently arrested after law enforcement received tips from parents about their children being shown online in sexually explicit edited images that were shared on social media.
Search Warrant Leads to Pittsburg Arrest
According to KETK, 61-year-old Pittsburg resident Gregory Bunt was taken into custody by the Pittsburg Police Department after a search warrant was issued for his residence on the 200 block of Broach Street. After the search was completed, Bunt was taken into custody on charges of unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material and unlawful production or distribution of certain sexually explicit media.
Police Chief Matthew Lamarr reported that the police department began getting complaints from parents and teachers on Sunday, April 5 about a Facebook account posting images of children from the community in a sexually explicit manner.
After speaking with several parents, the police department was able to obtain a search warrant and sent all electronics for a forensic examination.

Police Say New Facebook Account Was Created
Bunt’s personal Facebook page was flagged for explicit content and taken down. Police say Bunt then allegedly created a new Facebook account and continued posting similar images. All of his social media accounts are now being investigated. The police chief wants to clarify that the images are believed to be edited and created by Bunt, not actual images of the children.

Charges Filed Against Gregory Bunt
Bunt has been booked into the Camp County Jail on charges of unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material and unlawful production or distribution of certain sexually explicit media.
The investigation is still ongoing, but we appreciate all the efforts being made by law enforcement to keep children in East Texas safe.
