Folks can label our state of mind in several different ways -- proud, cocky, arrogant, passionate, protective, or maybe even a little bit of crazy. In fact in Norway "Texas" is slang for crazy. And that's cool to us, y'all.

However you want to stereotype Texans, one thing you can carve in stone: we love where we come from, we love what we have and we're damn proud to shout that pride from the rooftops.

"Texas has a tight cohesiveness perhaps stronger than any other section of America. Rich, poor, Panhandle, Gulf, city, country, Texas is the obsession, the proper study, and the passionate possession of all Texans.” [John Steinbeck]

Considering some of the things Texans are most proud of, we put together a list of 10 things that pretty much every Texan can identify with, and is likely very passionate about.

From the music to the food to the epic scenery, there is something for everyone in The Lone Star State, and we already know how much we love talking about it.

"If a man's from Texas, he'll tell you. If he's not, why embarrass him by asking?" ~John Gunther

We know we left out quite a few things (these lists can go on forever when it comes to Texas, right?), but what would you add? Let us know, shoot a message inside our app.
