Toddler Dies After Being Left Inside a Hot Car in Hobbs, New Mexico
On Tuesday (Sept. 17th), in Hobbs, New Mexico, a 2-year-old was found dead inside a hot car.
KAMC News reports that the Hobbs Police Department arrested the child’s babysitter, 40-year-old Tammy Brooks, following the incident.
According to police, Brooks called 911 about 1:30 p.m. However, investigators determined that she was away from the vehicle for several hours before she called emergency services.
Brooks was arrested and charged with abandonment or abuse of a child that resulted in death.
