I used to be a super big fan of McDonald's, especially when I was in my teens and twenties. But as I grew older, I realized I had LOTS of choices out there, and McDonald's became a treat or something to eat when I just needed to get something quick.

Then, UberEats comes to Lubbock and makes a big deal out of delivering McDonald's. I see this as a good thing considering there are times that it is just easier to have someone come to you.

They had a discount code for free delivery and I tried it. Here are my results.

I ordered a Big Mac Meal with an unsweet tea and a double cheeseburger with extra ketchup and pickle. It said it would take 15-20 minutes to get here.

The driver, who seemed to be a nice fellow, was a few minutes late, due to not knowing how to get into the building. No biggie on that one.

Now this is when things get meh.

1. I did not get my drink, and had no way to contact either UberEats or the driver to let them know. So I just had water. Not happy.

2. The fries were still warm, a good thing.

3. My double cheeseburger, despite having a slip that said extra ketchup and pickle, had no ketchup or pickle on it. Not happy.

Overall, would I recommend UberEats for fast food? No, not a chance. They might have it down on quality food establishments, but McDonald's was a bit of a fail.

And I am still waiting for my unsweet tea.
