So why does this guy have the nice juicy value of $80K on his head? Simply put, in the eyes of the Texas Department of Public Safety: the more dangerous they are, the higher the reward. Almost like an incentive to "contain the threat", if you would.

For these high-risk, fleet-footed fugitives, their charges may range from a simple parole violation all the way to murder--among other offenses. The typical reward ranges from $1,000 to $7,500.

And this guy here has managed to get himself an $80k price tag. That's wild.

The individual in question is known as Francisco Oropesa. He is a suspect in the shooting death of five people, including a 5-year-old girl, on April 28 in Cleveland, Texas.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Oropesa and there is an active search multi-agency search underway for the 39-year-old Hispanic male.

Anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of Oropresa may be eligible to receive a combined reward of $50,000 from the DPS and $25,000 from the FBI in addition to $5,000 from a multi-state Crime Stoppers fund.

Francisco Oropesa is 5'6" and 180 pounds. He has an Aztec tattoo on his left forearm and tribal rings on his right upper arm. He has no known gang affiliations.
