A longtime Lubbock restaurant has called it quits.

Genghis Grill The Mongolian Stir Fry has permanently closed based on a note left on the restaurant's door. It's unclear exactly why Genghis Grill closed.

The note, seen taped to the front door of Genghis Grill on Saturday, June 8th, reads:

We are sad to announce that we are closing operation. Thank you for a wonderful 10 years and we hope to see you in a new location in Lubbock soon -- MGMT

The restaurant's Facebook page was active as of today. Ironically enough, a Facebook post on the page that went up Saturday afternoon promoted a 'refer a friend' promotion where commenters could potentially win a free lunch.

Genghis Grill, founded in 1998, is based out of Dallas, Texas and has franchise restaurants in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
