Free COVID and School Vaccination Clinic Saturday At Lubbock High
Good news for those who are wanting to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as the spread of the pandemic continues in large part because of the Delta Variant. On Saturday, September 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. the City of Lubbock Heath Department will host a clinic that will offer the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer. The COVID vaccine will be offered free of charge .
The clinic this Saturday will be located inside the Lubbock High School Cafeteria. In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine, those who are needing school vaccinations can get those during the Vaccination Clinic this weekend as all.
Here are some of the things you should know about for this weekend at the Vaccination Clinic according to a press release from the City of Lubbock.
Lubbock High School is located at 2004 19th Street.
Pfizer vaccine will be offered to students ages 12 or older and their parents.
School vaccinations will be available for students ages 4 and up.
Walk-ins welcome.
*Recipients do not need to be enrolled in Lubbock ISD to receive vaccination.
For more information, call the Public Health Department at 806-775-2933.
It is important to remember that the vaccine being offered is the Pfizer vaccine which means those taking the vaccine will have to get another shot weeks after the first to be what is considered vaccinated. Expect more of these type of vaccine clinics in and around Lubbock during the Fall as the City of Lubbock continues to get as many people vaccinated as possible. While there is no vaccine mandate, the City of Lubbock Health Department encourages all eligible people to get vaccinated.
