Former Church Youth Leader Accepts Plea Deal After Sexual Relationship With Minor

A former church youth leader has accepted a plea deal for transfer of obscene material to a minor.

KAMC News reports that 23-year-old David Samuel Augustus-Cantu had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in July 2018.

The minor’s mom reported the relationship to Lubbock Police, who arrested Augustus-Cantu after they discovered an inappropriate image was sent to the minor.

Augustus-Cantu faces a maximum of 10 years in prison. He will be sentenced at a later date.
