Thirty two years ago, with the first overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected quarterback Vinny Testaverde. Now nearly 32 years later, the Buccaneers have invited former Texas Tech quarterback Vincent Testaverde to their rookie minicamp.

In 2014 at Texas Tech, Testaverde completed 15 of 26 passes for 116 yards against Texas, coming in for Patrick Mahomes after he left the game with an injury.

After his time at Texas Tech, he transferred to his dad's alma matter, the University of Miami, where he stayed until 2017. He transferred again to UAlbany, where he started eight games at quarterback, throwing for 1,714 yards and 11 touchdowns while completing 53.4 percent of his passes.
