Baylor Cupp's career at Texas A&M peaked as a recruit. It wasn't entirely his fault, as Cupp lost his first two seasons to injury in 2019 and 2020, before seeing action in 10 games in 2021. He entered the transfer portal this offseason and has recently committed to Texas Tech.

Before obliterating his ankle and fighting through a shoulder injury, Cupp was one of the highest-rated tight end prospects in the history of online recruiting numbers. He drew comparisons to Travis Kelce in 2019 and was universally praised as a run-blocker who could excel as a play-action receiver turning into a matchup nightmare.

Cupp enrolled at Texas A&M following the fall semester of his senior year at Brock High School. He flashed early in spring ball before injuring his ankle in fall camp and getting a medical redshirt in 2019.

Cupp also missed the 2020 campaign before finally appearing in games for the Aggies in 2021. He was mostly used as a blocker and did not record a stat in any of the 10 games he participated in.

That's all behind him now, as Cupp looks for a new opportunity with Joey McGuire and Zach Kittley at Texas Tech.

"I will never forget my time here at Texas A&M and the relationships that I have made," Cupp wrote on his Instagram page. "A&M is very special to me and I am very grateful being an Aggie! Now it's time for me to move my focus onto the next chapter! I will be continuing my education in football future at Texas Tech University!"

5 Things That Should Excite You About Zach Kittley's Texas Tech Offense

Zach Kittley returns home to Lubbock and Texas Tech as the chosen one to bring back an electric offense to the Hub City that hasn't been seen since Kliff Kingsbury was roaming the sidelines. Can he do it? I believe he can, but I don't think the offense will resemble what he was putting out at Western Kentucky in year one at Texas Tech. Here are 5 things that excite me about Kittley's potential as the Red Raiders' offensive coordinator.
