First Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Brownfield

On Monday, March 23rd, the South Plains Public Health District confirmed its first positive case of coronavirus in Brownfield.
The case is said to not have been acquired in Terry County, and the health district is working to identify recent contacts of the patient.
The South Plains Public Health District and health care partners will continue to monitor COVID-19 in the Brownfield area to prepare for the possibility of more local cases.
It's advised to continue following proper hygiene recommendations and social distancing practices.
