Don Imus Dies at 79 in College Station
Don Imus, formerly of WNBC-AM & 660 WFAN and 770 WABC has died at the age of 79 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station.
Imus famously feuded with Howard Stern at 66 WNBC in the 1980's and then helped build WFAN in the late 80's and early 90's by combining news, sports and political interviews into a morning show that became nationally syndicated and broadcast on MSNBC TV.
Imus retired from Imus in the Morning in March of 2018.
Imus' family will hold a small private service in the coming days and request that any donations be made to the Imus Ranch Foundation, which provides resources to other outstanding charities that support families of children suffering from cancer and other illnesses.
