Lubbock County Sheriff's Office responded to a call just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 about an animal bite in the 10500 block of County Road 6870. 

When deputies arrived, they found a woman with multiple dog bites. The woman has been identified by family members as 67-year-old Priscilla Espenscheid.

According to a report, her family says that Espenscheid was taking trash out when her daughter’s dogs ran up and attacked her. Her daughter is said to live behind her home.

Family members said that Espenscheid was found hours after the incident. Her injuries include two broken arms, missing toes, and flesh torn from her body and face, they said.

The dogs were identified by a neighbor. Deputies were able to locate three dogs after conducting a search of the area, capturing two of them and putting one down on the scene.

Espenscheid is said to be in critical condition at the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
