Derrick Willies and Baker Mayfield Connect at Browns Camp

I know most people in Lubbock have shunned Baker Mayfield and don't follow him as a former Red Raider and instead list him as a traitorous Sooner, but that doesn't change the facts.

A former Red Raider is throwing touchdown passes to a former Red Raider in an NFL training camp as Mayfield launches a pass to Derrick Willies in the end zone.

Willies was having a break through last season cracking the rotation of receivers when the Browns started winning last season before his season ended with a broken collar bone. Now, in 2019, he's trying to crack a 53 man roster that features one of the most talented receiving corps in the NFL.

Willies good plays often are followed by bad plays though as he also short-armed a ball that got picked off in the same practice. A less than perfect pass from Mayfield plus lack of effort is a bad combo.

If Willies can find consistency though, lookout for him on Sunday's. And Thursday's. And maybe a Monday or two.
