Texas music legend Gary P. Nunn will play Lubbock's Cactus Theater Friday, March 10th.

"I Wanna Go Home With the Armadillo" (from London Homesick Blues), the legendary song that has been a Texas anthem, is one of the solid cornerstones of Gary P. Nunn's long and legendary career in country music.

Nunn is no stranger to Lubbock. "The thing I’m proudest of is being a member of the West Texas Walk of Fame in Lubbock with Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, Bob Wills and Roy Orbison — guys who were my heroes. To me that’s just the greatest thing," Nunn said.

Nunn has been hailed as a Texas music institution. He has had many gold albums and earned many awards and honors throughout a career that has spanned 40 years. Named an Ambassador of Texas Music by former Texas Governors Mark White and Rick Perry, Nunn was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame in 2004.

Now Nunn says, "I'm having more fun than ever!"

Special guest to open this show is Texas music favorite, Whitney Rose. She has a new six-song EP titled South Texas Suite.

Don't miss this great show at the Cactus Theater Friday, March 10th at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $15.
