A grand jury indicted former Coronado high School teacher Tuesday (Oct. 16th) for having an improper relationship with a student.

Forty-year-old Scott Riley Hall was arrested Oct. 1st, but was released on a $100,000 bond a few days later.

During the time of his arrest, the school placed Hall on administrative leave. KAMC News reports that Lubbock ISD said Hall resigned on October 5th, days after he was arrested.

Court records show Hall was an art teacher who had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl. Hall admitted to police and school officials that he had fallen in love with the girl.
