City of Lubbock Removes Basketball Hoop After Several Warnings

KLBK reports that the Plott family in Southwest Lubbock refused to move their basketball goal from the end of their cul-de-sac.

According to the report Stuart Walker of the City Codes Department said they removed the basketball goal.  In May the family was cited again for view obstruction.  The City said they would drop the citation against the Plott family but they would have to move the goal away from the road within 10 days.

Walker told everythinglubbock.com that a private individual can not use the roadway for their own private use and the issue really came down to safety.
