Cherished Lubbock Restaurant Announces Closing Date This Week
A well-known restaurant in downtown Lubbock is closing down at the end of the week, so if you haven't tried it, now is your last chance.
Burklee Hill opened the winery in Lubbock back in March 2020 after renovating the iconic Kress department store building in downtown Lubbock.
They serve a variety of wines along with their expertly crafted menu. The owners of the winery, Chance and Elizabeth Hill, are all about trying and creating delicious food. Although primarily living the life of a farmer, Hill also loves to cook. Hill’s sister is also a chef in San Francisco and she helps them when it comes to curating the best food for their guests.
It has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Lubbock. I love how fresh their food is and their artichoke smear is the best I've had. I will be getting it this week before it closes.
They posted to Facebook saying:
"What an incredible 4 years we have had with you. You came downtown and celebrated so many incredible moments of your lives with us. It has been such an endearing and special season. We find ourselves now heading into a new season. Burklee Hill will be closing the doors of the restaurant for the last time after we serve you on Saturday, June 1st. The good news is that Burklee Hill, as a winery, will maintain an online presence and you will still be able to purchase our wine for some time into the future. You will still be able to reach us through burkleehillvineyards.com. We want to say thank you for all of the unforgettable ways that you have blessed our business."
Between now and June 1st, Burklee Hill is offering 15% off bottles and 30% off cases. Come in to say farewell and raise a toast to award-winning Texas wine.
Their last day will be June 1st, 2024 so get your reservations now on Open Table. I have mine!
