Caprock Canyon Is A Great Little Getaway That’s Inexpensive And Easy To Find

Last weekend we made a day trip to Caprock Canyon, a Texas State Park that's under two hours away from Lubbock.

As we entered the park we ran into the "Official Bison Herd Of Texas" lounging around with some mule deer ready to have their picture taken.

The formations in Caprock Canyon are amazing, and you can walk along the riverbed for hours if you'd like to. It's really an amazing place for a hike.

There's some very cool artwork too, a bison herd made of metal.

And yes, a park wouldn't be complete without Prairie Dogs!
