It's one the best Christmas traditions in Lubbock and West Texas. Candlelight on the Ranch. The two-night event returns this weekend and you won't want to miss out.

The 44th Annual Candlelight at the Ranch is held at the The National Ranching Heritage Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. located at 3121 4th Street. Candlelight at the Ranch is free but donations are welcomed and encouraged.

If you haven't been to a Candlelight at the Ranch, you are really missing out. The entire event is about celebrating a frontier Christmas. The pathways, scenes, and even the structures themselves are lit as much as possible with lanterns, fireplaces, and campfires. Some of the structures were actually built when electricity was more accessible so you may see some lights in those buildings.

Visitors will get to see 15 buildings lit up and holiday scenes recreated. But that's not all. This year there will be even more food and entertainment according to a press release by the National Ranching Heritage Center.

Traditional holiday scenes will be recreated by volunteers in 15 historic structures.

Visitors can purchase refreshments in the decorated 1908 Four Sixes Barn while they listen to Brazos West play Christmas music with a Texas swing.

Boomerang BBQ and Kurbside Sweets will have food trucks out front, and kettle corn will be available on the patio.

Meet Santa Claus in the Pitchfork Pavilion.

Sounds like it's going to be another great experience at Candlelight on the Ranch. Don't miss out on this great family friendly event hosted by the Ranch.
