This is a story on why it is important to keep your eyes open and be paying attention because you never know who you will see.

My mom and I traveled to Nashville to see my best friend. We kept thinking the whole weekend we were going to run into someone and never did.

As I was headed home and at the airport it finally happened and it is all thanks to a sandwich.

My gate was number 6 in Austin but I love this sandwich place called Thundercloud Subs that is on the other side of the airport but I had plenty of time so I walked down there. The line was long so I decided to sit and wait and maybe I could get it in a little bit.

I started walking around looking for a plug to charge my phone, not thinking of anything. I happened to look up and that's when I saw him, Jelly Roll. I had to do a double take but sure enough, they were about to board a plane.

So I ran over there real quick to take a picture. He was so nice and said yes. I congratulated him on his big three CMT Awards that we watched him get the night before.

I told him we are all excited for him to come to play in Lubbock. He said he loved coming out and playing at Cook's and he is excited to see the United Super Markets Arena and he is ready for us.

After it was all done I realized I never asked him to do an interview or anything I wanted to say but it happens. I was just excited to meet him and surprised he knew all about Lubbock.

Congrats again on the big night at the CMT Awards Jelly Roll! See you soon. Tickets are still on sale here.
