
Boy Scouts of America Files For Bankruptcy, Lubbock Unaffected

On Tuesday, February 18th, the Boy Scouts of America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection following sexual abuse lawsuits.
KAMC News reports that the national organization of the Boy Scouts of America is the only entity involved in the Chapter 11 filing.
The Boy Scouts of America South Plains Council in Lubbock has said that the organization will not be effected. There are also no reports or lawsuits against the Lubbock chapter.
Meetings and activities, district and council events, other Scouting adventures and other service projects will take place as usual.
