Who doesn't love a good milkshake? (Unless you're lactose intolerant.) Digital foodie online mecca Spoon University just released a list of the best milkshakes by state, and you'll have to take a road-trip down south to Austin to find the best in Texas.

The 24 Diner is a self-proclaimed 'farm-to-table' restaurant, specializing in comfort food. They happen to be the home to the Roasted Banana and Brown Sugar Shake. Bananas roasted till the internal sugars caramelize and brown sugar mixed in for good measure.

What's not to like, right? The 'Best Shake in Texas' there will set you back $6.45.

A milkshake, float, malt and frosty are about as different as a hamburger and club sandwich. However, looking through the website's list, it appears that there may not be much distinction as far as the cold concoctions are concerned. Some images appeared to be more float-like, while others were definitely more on the milky side.

In my mind, a milkshake is digestible through a straw; a float is any kind of soda with vanilla ice cream on top; a malt has the key ingredient of malted milk balls; and a frosty can be turned upside down and still stay in the cup.

Milkshakes are a great American past-time immortalized by John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction," when he bemoaned an expensive one at Jack Rabbit Slims.

"That's a shake, that's milk and ice cream," said Travolta as hitman Vincent Vega. "You don't put bourbon in it or nothing? That's five dollars?"
