Bank Manager Admits to Embezzling Money From Bank He Worked For
A former bank manager admitted to embezzling cash from the bank he used to work for.
KAMC News reports that Joe Frank Rodriguez accepted a plea deal in federal court on Friday for theft, embezzlement or misapplication by a bank officer. Rodriguez started as a teller for Centennial Bank in Plainview in 2004 and was later promoted to manager.
Rodriguez admitted that starting in October 2016, he began stealing money from a bank vault. Rodriguez took approximately $143,000 for personal use.
If the judge accepts the plea deal, Rodriguez will be sentenced at a later date to no more than 30 years in prison.
