Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered flags in Lubbock to be lowered to half-staff in honor of two Lubbock first responders who were killed in the line of duty while responding to a traffic accident this past Saturday.

The governor called for flags in Lubbock to be lowered until sunset on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 in honor of Lubbock Police Officer Nicholas Reyna and Lubbock Fire Rescue Lieutenant Eric Hill.

A candlelight memorial will be held Wednesday evening to honor the two men at 7 p.m. at the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial, located at 6601 Quaker Ave.
