A popular fast food chain employee was held at gunpoint while expediting food. KAMC news reported that the Lubbock Police Department was dispatched on November 29th to a local area Sonic Drive-In. At the scene police spoke with an employee for the popular food chain who says they were held at gunpoint.

The employee told police that they were expediting food to the suspects vehicle and shortly after repeating the order back and asking for payment is when the suspect pulled out a gun. The suspect then demanded the employee give him all the money he had in his current possession to which the employee told the suspect he had none. The only exception to carrying money for most Sonic carhops is just a four-barrel money changer.

The suspect was then described by the employee as getting frustrated after being told he didn't have any money in his possession and was then threatened with being shot. The suspect then proceeded to reverse his vehicle out of frustration and in the process of fleeing the scene ran over the employee's foot and then hit a yellow pole. The employee did state that he felt no pain and didn't believe to have sustained any injuries from the weight of the vehicle being on his foot.

As per the publishing of this article the suspect in this incident has not been located but anyone with information is urged to call the Lubbock Police Department with any information that may lead to an arrest. Sonic has been serving the Lubbock area for 40 years and focuses on customer satisfaction while believing that the customer is always number one.
