A Lubbock United Way Press Conference Announces More Help Is On the Way

The COVID-19 pandemic was the focus of a press conference Friday morning, March 27th.

Lubbock United Way joined with the Community Foundation of West Texas and they are forming a partnership to bring much-needed help to our community, according to KLBK news.

Community food banks and other resources have been feeling a surge of need during this crisis, so it's good to see that these organizations will be stepping in for us.

The report references a press release that promises "the deployment of resources to community-based organizations tackling the effects of the outbreak on the region."

Many resources are needed, so this is tremendous news for West Texas.
