If you love southern food you probably have heard of people RAVE about Bojangles. Well, it looks like this fast-food restaurant is now coming to Texas.

The company has more than 800 locations around the south with things on their menu like fried chicken, Cajun chicken biscuits, sweet tea and Bo-Berry Biscuits for dessert.

The company started in North Carolina in 1977. It has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, and dozens in Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia. They plan to open about 50 Bojangles locations across Texas in the coming years.

The first location is set to open in Euless in the spring of 2023 and the second to open north of Frisco in late spring or summer of this year.

A press release from early 2023 says construction has started on restaurants in Euless and Lancaster. Construction began on Feb. 13, 2023 in Frisco. The fifth location will be opening in San Antonio.

Five locations will open in Austin. Bojangles will be targeting the north side of the Austin Metro, which could include Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Pflugerville and Georgetown but there is not set location in Austin yet.

The restaurant has signed leases for at least four addresses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Those include Highway 183 and Main Street, Euless; near U.S. 380 and 423, Frisco; 2821 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco; and 790 N. I-35E, Lancaster.

According to their website, they’d like to have over 100 restaurants in the state within the decade. I did reach out to see if they are considering coming to Lubbock but I haven't heard anything back yet.
