2nd Chance Books is a used bookstore located at 4206 50th Street with plans to open by December of 2021.

The store will function similarly to Goodwill, but just for books. They will be accepting donations of used books to then resell at a competitive price. However, what makes them different is that they are using the profits from book sales to develop and run an education program.

If you go to their website, although not fully set up yet, it will give you some information on their education program. Once the store opens in December, you can apply for their life-skills study plan. They will provide the necessary reading and study materials for the program as well.

This seems like a great idea to help provide an option for those looking to continue their education journey in a non-traditional way. It also benefits the high school and college students by providing a bookstore that is selling used material at an affordable price.

A huge way for students to save money is through purchasing used books, and this provides another way for students to do so. It is also nice for bookworms myself that might be on the hunt for something new to read without the brand-new price tag. You also know that your donation and the money you spend at this store will be going towards something positive.

There isn’t much information out there at the moment, but you check out what information they have on their website and stay posted on any updates through their Facebook.
