One Person Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into Lubbock Fire Truck
Update: Sunday morning (Dec. 17), Lubbock Police Department Public Information Assistant Kasie Whitley released the name of the person who was killed in Saturday night's crash: 68-year-old Johnnie Martin
Original story: One person was killed in Lubbock Saturday night after a car crashed into a local fire truck.
According to EverythingLubbock.com, the accident occurred around 7 p.m. in front of the Fire Station No. 9, located at 4814 50th St. One vehicle reportedly crashed into the back of a fire truck as it was pulling out to respond to a separate call.
The driver of the car that hit the fire truck was taken to Covenant, where they passed away, KCBD reported.
There's currently no other information about injuries.
