What Really Happens After Police Fatally Shoot a Suspect

Footage has emerged from Billings Montana where an officer has been cleared of any wrong-doing.  This dash cam footage shows the emotion an officer goes through.

With all the negative press Police officers have received lately, what we don't ever see is what happens to an officer after a fatal shooting.  Later on an autopsy would show this suspect had enough meth in his system to kill the average person.  This five-year veteran Grant Morrison obviously did not want to shoot the suspect who he thought was reaching for a gun after a traffic stop.

This dash cam photo shows how emotional the situation is for the officer.  Now, you can argue about if he should have used a taser and the overall procedures used by law enforcement, but you can't say this doesn't take a toll on the officer.

Maybe tasers are better utilized, but studies show they are not accurate enough to provide the officer with enough safety in most situations. If officers don't feel safe, good luck finding enough that will put their lives on the line to protect us.
