Big news coming out this week. Texas Tech has been in talks with Under Armor, Nike, and Adidas to choose their next clothing company.

A new tease coming in from Patrick Mahomes shows the university has made its decision and they are going with a new company.

Texas Tech has been in business with Under Armour since 2006, even signing a four-year, $12.9 million deal contract extension in July 2020.

Patrick Mahomes and Texas Tech use his pregame outfit for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers to make the announcement they are teaming up with Adidas in 2024.

After the news was broken on Patrick Mahomes social media, Texas Tech followed up with posts confirming the news.

Adidas will become the official partner of Texas Tech on July 1, 2024. There are no further details at this time, but the official announcement should be made within the next few months.

The hope for Adidas is that the Mahomes brand becomes as popular and profitable as the Jordan brand has become for Nike.

Head coach Joey McGuire said that he has been working to help design new uniforms for the program.
