Texas Has Its Fair Share of Food Snobs and That’s a Good Thing
Some people call them "foodies", others call them "snobs" but there's a lot of people who love talking about food, after all there's an entire network devoted to it!
Travel + Leisure presented their Top 20 Food Snob Cities and Texas had a very good showing, including Houston that came in as No. 1 on the list! The city took the top spot in three separate food categories: burgers, brunch, and specialty food shops.
Here's how other Texas states ranked:
12. Austin, Texas
The report claims Austin had a high ranking because of the new and old way they presented Barbeque. Austin also ranked high because of its expanding supply of food trucks.
17. Dallas
Dallas wasn't too far behind at No. 17 mostly because of their burgers and barbeques, which is no big surprise. However, they also ranked high for their bunches.
Right next door...
6. Albuquerque, New Mexico
Their local food specialties ranked high, but so did their coffee which put them near the top five. Speaking of which, here are the top cities for food snobs!
5. Minneapolis/St. Paul
4. Atlanta
3. Kansas City
2. Providence, Rhode Island
And as we already mentioned Houston is No. 1.
