Remember the days when you and your friends would set up a card table on the sidewalk in front of your house, make a sign, and sell glasses of lemonade. Lemonade that your mom probably made.

Well, in Midway Georgia, police there told three girls that they could not do business and shut them down. Police said the girls needed a peddler's permit, a business license and a food permit. None of which the girls had.

In fact it was the chief of police along with another officer who busted the girls. The police said that they didn't know what was in the lemonade or who made it.

The girls were trying to raise money to go to a water park.

I remember when I was growing up, my friends would set up a lemonade stand and it was no big deal.

It seems to me that the city of Midway is worried that they were going to be out some money because the girls didn't purchase their permits.

Now if this was a donut stand, we wouldn't even be talking about this.
