Kaitlin Butts, live at JAB Fest 2018

Up-and-comer Kaitlin Butts fired up the crowd at day 1 of JAB Fest and had everyone eager for the rest of the show. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans.

Butts' set was full of quips and dirges about exes. And her dry wit had fans laughing and cheering. But not long after she left the stage at the Lonestar Amphitheater, a weather delay was called due to lightning. About 30 minutes later, the show was canceled outright.

This year's lineup of artists for JAB Fest was tremendous, too.

Randy Rogers Band was set to headline Friday night, with Parker McCollum, Grant Gilbert and Kaitlin Butts opening the show. But Grant Gilbert and on never made it to the stage. On Saturday, Josh Abbott Band headlines, along with Casey DonahewMike RyanRandall King, Charlie Shafter and Jordan Robert Kirk. After the cancellation, meteorologist Ron Roberts stressed that there's a 60 percent chance of rain on Saturday. Here's hoping it doesn't.
